Short bioMary came to the United States on Sept. 6, 1956, at age 27. She lives with her daughter Sibylle in Clifton, NJ. She divorced Joseph Klucsarics long before his death. She helped Joseph Lasica with this family tree in 2000 and 2007. When she was born in 1929, the family’s surname was spelled “Schepper.” By the time Theresia, her youngest sister was born in 1941, the spelling had changed two times, to Sepper and finally to Seper. The story of how the Schepper name was shortened to Seper in the 1930s is recounted here. Mary is Joseph’s first cousin, once removed. At last word, Mary’s health was deteriorating.
