Short bioJohn Lasica was the father of Jakub Lasica and an unknown number of other children. (We need to write to Poland to find out Jakub’s siblings.) John and his family may have lived in the village of Posuchy (pronounced Pa-soo-heh), near the town of Ranizow; that’s where we understand his son Jakub lived before moving to Spie. According to one account, John was found in the Black Forest as a foundling at age 2 and taken in by the Lasicas, though that may be a folk tale.
