Frank Ruppert

Frank J. Ruppert, age 78, of Pennsylvania, formerly of Clifton, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of nearly 57 years to Margaret (nee Hanzl), dear father to his son Frank and daughter Christine Zimmermann and her husband Joseph, proud grandpa to Joseph Zimmermann and his wife Dorothy Ann, Sarah Maginnis and her husband James, Daniel Zimmermann and his wife Annamarie and Matthew and Brian Ruppert. Most recently, Frank enjoyed his newest role as doting great-grandpa to James Joseph and Chiara Maria. Frank is also survived by his brother Andrew Ruppert and his wife Maria and his sisters Elizabeth Dittrich, Maria Miko, Anna Huller, and sister-in-law Jacki Ruppert, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maria (nee Schmidt) Ruppert and his brothers Georg, Josef and George.

Frank was born in Versteskozma, Hungary, and emigrated to the United States with his family in the 1950s, eventually settling into the German-Hungarian community of Passaic/Clifton. As a young man, Frank was a member of the Sportsfriends Soccer Club. He worked as a machinist troubleshooting around the world before becoming a small business owner. An avid outdoorsman, he loved boating and fishing. He was a talented woodworker, building both homes and family treasures.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:15 am from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 10:00 am at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, cor. Hope Ave. and Harrison St., Passaic. Private cremation to follow. Visiting will be held Monday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 226 Harrison St., Passaic, NJ 07055.
