Short bioAntony Majdanski was in the Prussian Army under Gen. Franz Josef, according to granddaughter Patricia Madansky Kilinski; his discharge papers were signed by Franz Josef. (Franz Josef was Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary and reigned over the Hapsburg Empire for 68 years (1848-1916). Haven’t verified if Franz Josef commanded Prussian troops; he lost a war to Prussia in 1866.) Antony liked to go rowing on the Passaic River. Patricia Madansky’s birth certificate in Passaic, NJ, listed her father’s name as Anton Madanski. Her baptismal certificate listed her father as Anthony Majdanska. In later years Anton spelled his last name Madansky.
